Teams: Female Team, Male Team, Mixed Team (in a team of 2 or 3)

 

Age Categories will be calculated based upon age as of the 31 December 2021

Prize Giving

Prize Giving will take place at 2:00pm, Saturday 13 March at Wilcox Green. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each race category.

Prize money

Overall Male and Female solo winners will be awarded NZD$500.00.

Course Details

5 Unique events in beautiful Motatapu, Queenstown New Zealand.

The Off-Road Triathlon is arguably one of the most challenging and rewarding off-road triathlons in New Zealand. This triathlon rekindles the pioneer spirit by using the lay of the land to determine the course. Athletes can race as a solo, or in a team of 2 or 3.

The course consists of a 1km Swim in Lake Wanaka, 46.5km Mountain Bike and a 8km Mountain Run. This is a demanding course while providing breath-taking scenery along the way.

Whether you are an established triathlete or need a goal to push yourself to the next level, this is for you. Test yourself, prove your grit and get OFF-ROAD!

Team Tri Info

At both Transition points (T1 and T2), team members must tag at their allocated area within the transition area, as marked by the team race number. It is very important that the timing transponder is transferred between team mates. Transition maps subject to change.

All athletes must have a Triathlon NZ (TRIBE) Membership or an international federation license to race. Existing TRIBE members must enter their membership number on the entry form. Those without a TRIBE Membership must purchase a One Day race membership during registration for NZD$10.93 (inclusive of all fees and taxes). Only one person in a team requires a One Day or TRIBE Membership.

What to Bring

  • Photo of your Bike Check Sticker on your bike
  • A copy of your registration confirmation email
  • Triathlon NZ (or international triathlon federation) membership card
  • You will need to hand in your T2 Bag (supplied) with your T2 gear inside
  • For teams - all material is sent to the one location, determined on the Team Captain's entry form. Only one team member needs to attend Athlete Check-In and collect the required items
